Design calculation methods for the fatique life of engineering components, fundamentals of fracture mechanics. Crack initiation and crack propagation fatique lives. Neuber analysis, multiaxial stress, cyclic stress-strain behavior, mean and residual stress effects. Selected current research topics, advanced research and design projects.
