This student-centered seminar series will meet weekly in both the Fall and Spring semesters of the student's first two years and will introduce the students to a broad range of faculty and outside speakers in public health. The seminar will follow a cycle where students read and discuss papers for an upcoming presenter, the next week the speaker will present and participate in discussion and questions and answers, and the following week there will be a student presentation. During their fourth semester, students will present an overview of the literature supporting their proposed research project. This seminar is common to all students in the doctoral program in public health.
