Topics include: Mathematical models of discrete-time systems, Discretization of continuous-time systems, Measures of control system performance, Classical single input-single output design methods, Compensator design via discrete-equivalent and direct design methods, State variable design via discrete equivalent and pole placement methods, Linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control, H2 and H-infinity optimal control, numerical optimization and nonlinear control.
