5415. Statistical Methods for Data Science

3.00 credits

Prerequisites: Differential calculus; undergraduate course in statistics; and Instructor consent. Not open to students who have passed STAT 5585 or STAT 5685 or BIST 5585 or BIST 5685.

Grading Basis: Graded

Basic probabilistic concepts; marginal, joint and conditional probability distributions; point and interval estimation; and hypothesis testing.
